Also called “color temperature,” Kelvin temperature indicates the color spectrum of light produced by a light source.

 

How Does Kelvin Temperature Correlate to the Color of Light?

 

To put it simply, the higher the Kelvin temperature, the cooler the color of light. Warm, red light falls at around 1,900 – 2,200 K, orange and yellow land in the 2,700 – 3,000 K range, and the scale progresses from blue to white light from 4,000 K all the way up to 10,000 K.
